Our group develops computational and bioinformatics approaches to understand and engineer microbial communities. We combine mechanistic modeling and data-driven analysis with targeted laboratory experiments to uncover how microbes utilize and exchange resources, and how these interactions shape community assembly, stability, and function. By linking species‑level metabolic traits to ecosystem‑level dynamics, we build predictive frameworks for microbiome behavior across environmental and host‑associated systems and develop curated resources for the comparative analysis of ecological interactions.
