Microscopy images are full of information, but how can we reliably turn this wealth of visual information into objective numbers?

In our group, we develop novel computational methods to quantify complex visual phenotypes from microscopy data and apply them to biological discovery. We are an interdisciplinary team of diverse backgrounds (engineers, computer scientists, computational biologists, mathematicians, ...) seeking to create innovative approaches that combine sound theoretical foundations with advanced computational techniques. Our contributions span both general algorithms as well as tailored analysis pipelines developed through collaborative projects with our wet-lab colleagues.
