This course is organised by the SIB PhD Training Network. Priority is given to its members, but is open to everyone.

Overview

This workshop is a complement to the course "Introduction to Network Analysis" that will take place 29-31 October. The morning will be devoted to an introduction to Network Biology and Cytoscape + tips and tricks and the afternoon would be use cases:

  • Use case: "Transcriptomics"

  • Use case: "PPIs from Proteomics data"

  • Use case: "Proteomics -- working with PTM data"

Audience

This workshop is addressed to biologists and bioinformaticians with some experience in analysing biological data. Intermediate level.

Prerequisites

Knowledge / competencies

  • Working knowledge of Cytoscape and network biology
  • Attend the 3-day course happening just before is a plus.

Technical

  • You are required to bring your own laptop, installed (in advance) with the latest version of the R Studio and Cytoscape software.

Application

Registration fee is free for members of the SIB PhD Training Network. They are 60 CHF for academics (including non-profit organizations) and 300 CHF for for-profit organizations. This includes course content material and coffee breaks.

Deadline for registration and free-of-charge cancellation is set is set to [25/10/2018]. Cancellation after this date will not be reimbursed. Please note that participation to SIB courses is subject to our general conditions.

Venue and Time

University of Lausanne, building and classroom to be announced later.

The course will start at 9:00 and end around 17:00. Precise information will be provided to the participants on due time.
