Computational Biology Symposium
Computational biology is everywhere. As biology has developed into a vast field, the volume and diversity of biological data have grown exponentially. Turning these data into knowledge requires computational approaches, with applications ranging from species evolution and protein structures to bacterial communities and human diseases.
This symposium brings together computational biologists from different fields to highlight the transversal nature of their work, with a particular focus on the methods they use, including mathematical modelling, statistics and AI. By connecting seemingly distant fields, the meeting aims to foster new collaborations and spark innovative ideas.
Hosted by the Department of Computational Biology at the University of Lausanne, the symposium will take place in a friendly and relaxed environment on the shores of Lake Geneva, offering plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas with colleagues and new connections.
The symposium is organized by Sven Bergman, SIB Group Leader, and Robin Hofmeister.
