[BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference, 9-12 September 2019, Basel
The [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference is organized by SIB and is the key computational biology event in Switzerland uniting scientists working in a broad range of disciplines, including bioinformatics, computational biology, and systems biology. This year’s scientific committee is chaired by SIB Group Leaders Erik van Nimwegen and Niko Beerenwinkel. The scientific program will focus on the use of “Big Data in Molecular Medicine”, with plenary sessions on single-cell biology, evolutionary medicine, clinical population genomics, systems biology of disease and multi-level data integration.
The main [BC]2 conference will take place 10-11 September at the Congress Centre in Basel as an integral part of the BASEL LIFE congress – Europe’s leading congress in the Life Sciences. The integration of [BC]2 into Basel Life allows [BC]2 attendants to have access to all of BASEL LIFE’s activities at no extra costs.
The [BC]2 workshops and tutorials are on Monday, 9 September at the University of Basel and are organized by Patricia Palagi from the SIB Training Group. Workshop and tutorial propositions can now be submitted. Each workshop/tutorial will receive up to two free conference registrations for organizers or speakers. Further information on the submission guidelines and process for the workshops and tutorials can be found on the Basel Life webpage.
