How can I detect a phishing attempt?
If you receive an email and you are not sure whether it is a phishing attempt or not, you should check the following points.
1The email address: can you see it (if not, hover over the name)?
Does it look authentic?
Do you know it?
2The content: are there any strange character formats? Does the text contain grammar errors? Does the wording sound strange?
3Potential URLs: hover over the link - to which website does it link and are there any strange character patterns?
4Attachments: do not open any attachments if the email looks suspicious. It may contain malware.
5 If you are still unsure whether it is a phishing attempt, please contact your security officer.
