Phishing
What is phishing and why should I protect myself?
Phishing is a cyber-crime during which the attacker tries to receive private information (e.g. usernames, passwords or credit card details) from a targeted person.
The attacker contacts the person through social media, email, telephone or text message pretending to be part of a legitimate organization and fools the person into sharing sensitive information.
With this information, the attacker may for example be able to commit identity theft.
