Overview

This course is aimed at sciCORE users who are new to the use of Linux and high-performance infrastructures. Within a very practical focus, we will provide the tools needed to use the Linux command line and to interact with the sciCORE cluster. All new users of sciCORE are strongly encouraged to follow this course.

Prerequisites

Each participant should bring their own laptop with WiFi, and have a valid sciCORE account. Registration with the University of Basel and a valid unibas email account is required. Members of the Unibas community can request a sciCORE account with an email to scicore-admin[at]unibas.ch (please indicate your research group).

We recommend to install MobaXterm (Windows) or XQuartz (Mac) in order to have X11 tunneling capabilities enabled.

If you don't have an account in BC2 and want to attend this course, please contact us at scicore-admin@unibas.ch

Application

The course is free for members of the UniBas community, but registration is mandatory. To apply please follow this link
