I really have to connect to a public Wi-Fi network, what should I do?
1Confirm the network's name and password with someone working at the place you are located (e.g. a receptionist). Hackers can easily create malicious Wi-Fi hotspots.
2Do not access sensitive information while connecting to the network (e.g. your emails or your bank account).
3Access only HTTPS websites.
4Limit your activities and close the connection afterwards.
5Do not forget: some applications run in background mode and can thus be accessed if a "man-in-the middle" technique is used.
