Biocuration 2016

The Ninth International Biocuration Conference will be held in the hometown of the Swiss-Prot Database, Geneva, Switzerland, from April 10-14, 2016.

Description

This conference provides a forum for curators and developers of biological databases to discuss their work, promote collaboration and foster a sense of community in this very active and growing area of research. In 2016 it is hosted by the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.

Travel fellowships

The International Society for Biocuration and The Ninth International Biocuration Conference (2016) are pleased to provide current ISB members with travel fellowships for students, junior curators, curators from low-income countries, and curators from countries suffering from natural disasters.

Plenary Talks

The conference will include four plenary talks featuring established scientists who have influenced the field of biocuration. The plenary speakers are Theodora Bloom, Donna Maglott, Melissa Haendel and Edward Marcotte.
