Children aged 9 to 14 are invited to take part in the second edition of SIB's public bioinformatics hackathon in Geneva on Saturday 14 April.

Meet with our bioinformaticians to get some insights into how computer programming can be applied to life science problems.

Using the Scratch programming language, last year's participants designed their own 'apps' in the shape of a 'Super Mario game', a 'protein sequence search' or an applauded 'Protein vs DNA clapometer', to cite but a few.

The event is part of the Open Geneva Innovation Festival.
